Teen in teeth ordeal
by Glen S.R. Walker
The Herald-Sun
reported, 21st November, 2003, on a young girl
living in Portland, Victoria, a city the Government
states has enough fluoride naturally in their
drinking water supplies, making it unnecessary to
introduce artificial fluoridation.
The Herald-Sun
describes how the young Portland teenage girl's
severely "overcrowded teeth are the cause of
increasing pain, bleeding gums and speech
difficulties."
The paper reported an
answer from the Minister of Health to a local
politician on this matter.
"When a case is urgent and the
person in pain, the normal waiting lists (12
months) do not apply and treatment can be as early
as a month."
That is called compassionate
Government dental science, Health Care, especially
as the Government, it's Health Department and the
Australian Dental Association claim that fluoridated
water stops teeth problems especially in children.
(1)The obvious:
The so-called
"optimal" fluoride content in Portland water,
(Victorian Health Department, Information Bulletin,
"Fluoridation, Water supplies and your health,
September 2002) seems to be doing little for
Portland children.
Research into
children's teeth at Portland seems a no no for the
Government and the fluoride lobby. Perhaps there are
many more such cases in Portland with its "optimal"
level of fluoride in their water, but with
subsequent dental problems. If it were not so, we
most surely would have been heavily brow-beaten by
the A.D.A., The Government, its Health Department
and the fluoride lobby in general, all telling us
the wonders of Portland fluoride drinking water
supplies and its great effect on Portland children's
teeth.
However, the most
disturbing aspect of this child's dental problem is
the common dental knowledge as expressed in The Age,
1984.
A dental article by
Professor Elsden Storey, Melbourne University, the
man responsible for fluoridation promotional data to
help the Government Fluoridation Act through
Parliament 1973 and considered an expert on the
subject, indeed recorded as "Australia's leading
dental authority". The Dental Professor stated:
"The fruits of fluoridation,
introduced to Melbourne several years ago, have
borne a new generation of children with wonderful
expensive teeth which "JOSTLE FOR ROOM
IN THE OVERCROWDED DENTAL ARCH."
"A recent study by
researchers at Melbourne University, where
Professor Storey occupies the Chair of Child
Dental Health, has shown that 40 per cent of
children need orthodontic treatment to correct
malformed and crowded teeth.
"These days it can well be a bill
for several thousand dollars for the orthodontist.
"Professor Storey said that the
upsurge in dental awareness that accompanied the
introduction of fluoride, could produce great
anxieties for parents.
"The cost of
orthodontic treatment is frequently more than
$2,000 a patient."
Seemingly not to be
outdone by Professor Storey, the President of the
Australian Dental Association, Dr. Fred Widdop, in
the same article stated:
"Young dental graduates battle to
find full-time work."
Waiting time for dental treatment in
every state of Australia is now reported to
be up to 4 years.
Latest excuses for bad teeth all over
Australia is the "lack
of dentists".
The reported income brackets of
"Professionals" puts dentists right amongst the top
few, so Dr Widdop's unemployed dentists are doing
well.
Another official
Report on University graduates documents dentists as
the highest starting income bracket.
The realities of
fluoridation in Australia since fluoridation.
(1) Over 80 per cent
more dentists allowing for population increase.
(2) Dentists in
highest income bracket.
(3) Dental graduates
have highest income at commencement of work.
(4) Millions of
dollars spent throughout Australia every year on
so-called dental care with fluoridation the most
expensive, including school dental clinics.
(5) Waiting times for
public dental treatment of people living all their
lives in fluoridated Australian areas is recorded as
up to 4 years.
(6) Dental decay in
Australia has increased by over 20% during the past
5 years (Australian Institute of Health).
(7) Year by year more
dentists, dental therapists, dental hygienists and
more dental decay.
(8) New larger Dental
Hospitals built and being built in Australian State
Capitals.
(9) More expensive
dental treatment.
(10) Huge increases in
Dental Fluorosis in children's teeth..,
(11) More, indeed much
more, fluoridation propaganda and protection by the
fluoride lobby found in so many places of covert
operation.
(12) Minimum public
education on one of the main causes of dental decay
- over-consumption of sugar in all its forms, and
mineral-deficient foods.
The story of
fluoridation is like a dog chasing its tale - it
just never gets there, but continues unabated with
gross unconstitutional support by politicians
throughout Australia.
Fluoridation
flourishes and entrenched in the minds of dental
health pretenders their projected influence over
naive hierarchy of groups in privileged positions of
trust.
Accountability
If only we had laws of
accountability, our mission would be quickly
fulfilled.
The Platform of the
Australian Labor Party is absolute compulsory
artificial fluoridation. They have claimed that
fluoridation in Australia has stopped tooth decay.
The Labor Party, 20th
January, 2004, announced their campaign to help the
dental pain and suffering of Australian people.
They will (if elected)
provide $400 million for poor people and pensioners
who are suffering dental disease "because there are
500,000 Australians waiting between 8 months and 5
years to see a dentist."
Accountability
requires scientific honest answers. Why is there
such a rotten state of teeth in Australia after all
the promises by Parliaments that just by adding
fluoride to all drinking water, dental decay will
disappear and dentists no longer needed. They still
keep telling the public that fluoridation is
especially good for the underprivileged and adults.
The official fluoridation data states Australia is
over 80%
fluoridated, which questions which
path of honest science one should follow.
Fluoridation has stopped tooth decay
in Australia from the cradle to the grave ...
OR
... we need $400,000,000 (four
hundred million dollars) to rectify dental problems
throughout Australia.
The Dental Science of today in 2004,
is a mimicry of 1973 when the Victorian Fluoridation
Act was being passed in Parliament.
The Minister of Health, Mr Scanlan,
told the Parliament (Hansard 27th November, 1973, p.
2583):
"Fluoridation was necessary to
provide that future legislators will have teeth.
If fluoridation
was defeated by a referendum
(democracy), the legislators of the future, our
children and members of the community would have
no teeth."
Perhaps Don Wilson should have been
in the Australia Day Honours list because he put the
fluoridation question into commonsense that even
politicians could understand. (W.A. Sunday Times,
April 2002):
"The Australian Dental Association
oral health
education chairman, Don Wilson,
said many parents had been lulled into a false
sense of security about the protection of
fluoridated water."
Conclusion of Accountability
A quotation that cannot and will not
be removed from not only premier medical science but
just plain commonsense of no interest to blindfolded
politicians and their fluoride lobby organisers:
"No physician in his right senses
would prescribe for someone he has never met,
whose medical history he does not know, a
substance which is intended to create bodily
change, with the advice: 'Take as much as you
like, but you will take it for the rest of your
life because some people say that it can reduce
tooth decay in children'."
(Dr. Peter Mansfield, Director,
Templegarth Trust,U.K.)
Accountability Laws would reduce
politicians to zero.
Accountability follows words of
advice by Shakespeare: "Be just (honest) and fear
not",
but fluoridation laws are actions
based on the principles of "where angels fear to
tread".
